The population of women in India is almost 50 percent without therefore without women empowerment this nation will never become a developed nation. Gramvikas Sanstha works in this filed and has taken this issue as its mission to benefit more and more women under this program. Till date GVS has formed 600 self help groups and all the groups are linked with banks so that financial transaction and other benefits can be taken from the bank by the self help groups. All the groups have been provided the basic training of doing business and managing of bank transaction. Many numbers of women have taken the benefits of this program and at present they are self dependent and as well as financially strong.

In future this self help groups will be given financial help from the projects viz. Wasundhara and Adarsh Gaon Wawa programme the amount will be 78 lack and along will this financial help from bank will be also provided and the amount will be 156 lack.
